Principle Accountabilities

  • Develops detailed reports for the HR Board Committee, highlighting key HR initiatives, challenges, and outcomes
  • Utilizes HR analytics tools to track employee performance, turnover rates, and other key metrics
  • Balances the global HR strategy with local operational needs, ensuring consistency and adaptability
  • Supports organisational changes in Mozambique and Botswana, providing leadership and guidance to HR teams
  • Prepares and presents comprehensive reports to the Executive Committee (EXCO) that reflect HR metrics, workforce trends, and strategic initiatives
  • Creates reward systems linked to performance metrics to motivate employees
  • Develops and implements competitive compensation packages that attract and retain talent
  • Ensures compliance with labor laws and regulations
  • Collaborates with executive leadership to align HR strategies with organisational goals
  • Participates in workforce planning and talent management initiatives

Requirements

  • Degree in Human Resources, Psychology or related
  • MBA or HR masters degree
  • At least 7 years of experience in insurance/related industry, 3 of which should have been in a management position
  • Professional certifications can enhance credibility
  • Ability to lead and develop HR teams, fostering a collaborative and effective work environment
