Principle Accountabilities
- Operates company vehicles to transport employees, goods, and equipment to various destinations
- Ensures timely arrival at destinations according to the set schedule
- Performs routine inspections and basic maintenance on vehicles, including checking oil, fuel, tire pressure, and ensuring cleanliness
- Reports any mechanical issues or necessary repairs to the fleet manager immediately
- Adheres strictly to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Maintains awareness of road conditions and potential hazards to ensure the safety of all passengers
- Keeps accurate records of vehicle mileage, fuel usage, and maintenance activities
- Documents and reports any accidents or incidents that occur while operating the vehicle
- Provides courteous and professional service to all passengers, assisting with boarding and exiting the vehicle as needed
- Handles passenger inquiries and provide necessary information regarding their transportation
- Responds appropriately to emergencies and assist passengers in evacuating if necessary
- Works closely with other departments, including logistics and administration, to manage transportation schedules and needs
- Assists in training new drivers as required
