Receptionist

Principle Accountabilities

  • Greets guests upon arrival with a warm and welcoming attitude
  • Assists guests with check-in and check-out procedures, ensuring a seamless experience
  • Handles reservations, including booking new stays, modifying existing reservations, and processing cancellations
  • Maintains accurate records of guest information and reservations using hotel management software
  • Responds to guest inquiries, concerns, and requests in a timely and professional manner
  • Provides information about hotel amenities, services, and local attractions
  • Processes guest payments, including cash, credit/debit card transactions, and invoicing
  • Ensures the accuracy of financial transactions and maintain a balanced cash drawer
  • Liaises with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Communicates effectively with team members to relay information regarding guest needs or special requests
  • Addresses and resolves guest complaints or issues promptly and effectively, escalating to management when necessary
  • Maintains a calm and professional demeanor under pressure and during busy periods
  • Performs clerical duties such as filing, typing, and data entry as needed
  • Assists in maintaining an organized and clean front desk area

Requirements

  • Hospitality management qualification
  • Diploma in Secretarial studies
  • At least 5 years experience in hospitality or customer service role is preferred
